About ITListed
ITListed helps businesses find IT and technology providers anywhere in the world, and helps those providers get found. It has two parts: a directory, and a news and guides section written for the people who buy technology rather than the people who sell it.
How listings work
- Businesses list themselves. We don't scrape or copy listings from other sites.
- Every listing is checked before it goes live. An automated review visits the business's website and checks that it works, that the business is real and offers the technology services it lists, and that the description is accurate. Australian ABNs are checked against the official format. Listings that fail, or that the review can't confirm, are declined with the reason, and the business can fix it and submit again.
- Listing is free. The main list in every category is alphabetical, and paying never changes it.
- Featured spots are the one paid extra. They sit in a separate, labelled row above the list. How Featured works.
- We don't endorse anyone. A listing means the business exists and described itself honestly, not that we've tested its work. Check references before you sign.
Our checker (ITListedBot)
When a business submits a listing, our checker visits its website once to confirm the details, and fetches its icon to use as the listing's logo. It identifies itself with the user agent ITListedBot/1.0 (+https://itlisted.com/about/; listing check), reads only the page it was given (plus redirects and the icon), and doesn't crawl the rest of the site. If your website's security blocks it, your listing can't be checked: allow that user agent, then submit again.
Who runs this site
ITListed is published by Kinsoft, an IT services company. Some of the publisher's own businesses are listed here. Those that fill Featured spots nobody has paid for are marked "Publisher's business"; a paid listing always takes the spot ahead of them. Every other listing goes through the same automated check, competitors included.
Changes and removals
To update or remove a listing, submit the form again with the same website and say what you want in the notes. We act on removal requests from the business promptly.
News and guides
Our guides explain how to choose and manage technology services. Some cover one country's rules (for example Australia's Essential Eight) and say so in the title. They're independent of the listings: no business pays to be mentioned.
